A classic brain teaser

A journey from the Palace of Versailles to your hands

The game is said to have first appeared in France in the late 17th century. The game became popular among the French aristocracy, especially after being discovered at the Palace of Versailles. According to legend, it was invented by a French prisoner to kill time, but today, the game has gone beyond that limit to become one of the world's most classic brain games.

Do you know how to bring back a single peg?

Another Solitaire-style game unlike Napoleon. There are squares on the board, each containing a peg, except for one empty square in the middle. The game's object is to remove all the pegs from the board by jumping them over each other in a straight line, just like jumping pieces in a game of hopscotch.

A valid move is when you jump a peg over the next peg, and it lands on the next empty space, the jumped peg is removed. The game ends when there are no more valid moves and you win if there is only one peg left on the board, ideally in the center.

Fun game or advanced brain training?

  • High logic: This is a game that requires thinking many steps ahead, planning to remove the peg so as not to get stuck.
  • Increases strategic thinking ability: This is a great brain exercise, especially for those who love math or puzzles.
  • Many variations: In addition to the popular board format, there are also triangular, hexagonal or modified Peg Solitaire versions, which add novelty.
