A Unique Combination of Two Classic Games
Pyramid Klondike is an exciting variation of the card game (Classic Solitaire), combining highlights from two classic games: Pyramid and Klondike. This game has a standard deck of 52 cards; the main goal of the player is to remove all the cards from the pyramid and the reserve column by matching them into pairs with a total value of 13 points. The game requires players to think logically, plan carefully, and sometimes need a little luck.
Basic Rules
How to arrange the cards
- Pyramid: Consists of 28 cards arranged in a pyramid shape with 7 layers, each layer contains increasing numbers of cards from 1 to 7. Each card is only revealed when no more cards are covering it.
- Klondike Column: At the bottom of the pyramid are 7 columns of cards (similar to Klondike), where players can arrange the cards in descending order and alternating colors.
- Stock: The remaining cards are placed in a pile to be gradually drawn during the game.
Rules for discarding cards
The goal is to find pairs of cards that total 13 points and remove them from the table.
The card values are calculated as follows: Ace = 1, J = 11, Q = 12, K = 13. The K card can be discarded immediately because it has 13 points on its own.
Players can combine cards from the pyramid, the Klondike column, or the stock.
Special features of Pyramid Klondike
- Highly strategic: Unlike pure Pyramid which is mainly about finding pairs of numbers, Pyramid Klondike allows players to move and arrange cards like Klondike, creating opportunities to unlock more hidden cards.
- Flexibility: Combining multiple card sources (pyramid, card column, reserve set) gives players more options to create reasonable strategies.
- Entertainment and brain training: The game is not only entertaining but also helps players practice their ability to observe, analyze and make quick decisions.
