Control two elementally opposite characters, Fireboy who cannot touch water and Watergirl who cannot touch lava. Each character has their own abilities, and only by utilizing the strengths of both can you complete the level.
The game allows one player to control both characters or two players to share each character. Controlling two characters at once requires flexibility and strategy.
Many levels require one character to hold a switch or press a button to clear the way for the other, then switch roles. Synchronization is key: if one is slow, both will fail.
Each level has its own traps such as fire, water, levers, moving boxes, and jumping platforms. The goal is to get both Fireboy and Watergirl to the correct door. You can also collect colored diamonds to increase your score and get a higher rank.
