Cribbage Card is a strategic card game that mixes skill and luck. The goal is to reach 121 points before your opponent by creating the highest-scoring hand.
Each player is dealt six cards (or five if there are three or four players). Each player then chooses two cards to place in the “crib” – a special deck of cards owned by the dealer. After the cards are discarded, a community card is flipped from the deck, which plays an important role in the scoring later.
The game takes place in two main phases:
Pegging Phase – Players take turns playing one card on the table, adding up points based on the totals of the cards played, with points awarded for reaching special totals such as 15 points or creating a consecutive set.
Scoring Phase – Once all cards have been played, players check their decks to score points based on combinations such as threes, fours, straights, or 15 totals.
The first player to reach 121 points wins. With a combination of card selection strategy, calculation skills, and a little luck, Cribbage is an attractive and challenging card game that is no less than Solitaire Bliss.
Cribbage is considered a more difficult card game than Solitaire Bliss. The game can be played with many people from two to four players. The goals of both are also different. Players need competition to win for themselves. If you find Solitaire Bliss too easy for you, try the card game with new, more challenging gameplay.
